About NaariSamatā

Helping women and children to feel safe and empowered

Imagine receiving news that your daughter or sister has fallen victim to molestation or rape. Would you remain silent? Every 16 minutes, a woman in India experiences the horror of rape, and these statistics are deeply unsettling. It could be your own daughter, sister, or friend. These alarming realities became the driving force behind the establishment of NaariSamatā.

Na Sa, a charitable organisation registered in England and Wales, US and India, is dedicated to protecting and empowering women and vulnerable children. We educate young people about gender equality and foster respect for women.

We tirelessly advocate for the safety of women, children, and marginalised communities. Our work encompasses issues related to gender, caste, and poverty. By educating the youth about equality and fostering mutual respect, we strive to create a safer world and combat violence against women.

We uplift women through various programs and initiatives, providing them with the tools and support they need to thrive.

Together, we can make a lasting impact and create a society where every individual feels safe and valued.

Feature Project

“We cannot progress if half of us are held back.”  – Malala Yousafzai

In Jharkhand, India, a distressing 38% of girls are married before 18, curtailing their opportunities for education, outdoor activities, and broader development. While only 8% of these girls access playgrounds past age 15, the significance of sports in fostering leadership, health, community ties, and a sense of belonging can’t be overstated. Sports offer invaluable benefits, regardless of one’s athletic prowess. Although Jharkhand’s social fabric may suggest egalitarianism, rising domestic violence and crimes against women in recent decades reveal an urgent need to ensure the safety and rights of women, while underscoring the transformative power of sports in their lives.

Sport to Livelihood

Child marriage is a prevalent issue in underdeveloped states like Jharkhand in India. Shockingly, nearly 38% of girls in Jharkhand are married off before they reach the age of 18, an age when they should be attending school, enjoying their childhood, and pursuing their dreams.
